PTWBB BOOSTER BOARD MEETING
MINUTES – NOVEMBER 7, 2011
The meeting came to order at 7:10pm
Old Business:
Sports Raffle Tickets –
- The Sports Raffle Ticket Money and Stubs have to be turned in no later than Friday, November 11th. Please contact Linda Susalla to make arrangements to return ticket stubs and money. All tickets not returned by Friday will not be eligible for the drawing. The drawing will take place on November 12, 2011.
- If the winning ticket is not drawn there will be a Lucky Loser’s drawing.
- We had 5,000 tickets to sell and before tonight’s meeting we had sold 158 tickets.
By-Laws
- The By-law changes noted in the September 24, 2011 email in regards to the Buy Out options for the General Fund were approved by the majority.
Wal-Mart Can Drive
- There were 11 players that participated in this fundraiser and the profit made was $341.00 for 4 hours of canning.
New Business:
Commitment Letter
- The Commitment letters were collected at this evening’s meeting. The Commitment letter was the idea of the coaches.
PNC Park
- PNC Park has contacted the boosters to play this spring against Greensburg-Salem. This participation in this game was part of a 3 year commitment that was made by the former booster president.
- The profit for participating in this fundraiser is approximately $2,000 if all tickets are sold.
- Participation in this event was voted upon at this evening’s meeting. A motion to approve this fundraiser was made by Dutch Cameron and seconded by Lisa Disso.
Spring Fundraisers
- Potential Spring fundraisers were discussed. Ideas were Sheetz Coupon books that sell for $10 each and net a 40% profit.
- Dutch Cameron volunteered to chair a Night at the Races once the team has been selected. Beth Navari is looking into the Level Green Fire hall for this event.
- The idea of selling golf booklets was suggested. Linda Susalla is looking into the cost of renting the booth for this fundraiser.
- Please email any fundraising ideas to Linda Susalla or Von Mihm.
Budget
- The Budget was reviewed by Janet Merlino. Currently we have $15, 397 in the booster account. $7,804.50 of this is earmarked for the player’s accounts which leaves the account with a balance of $7,593.32 of available funds.
A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:45pm was made by Melissa Candee and seconded by Janet Merlino.
